A word from RMHC Executive Director Mike Forness

To start, let me tell you about the Ronald McDonald House. Families from throughout a four-state region stay at the House when their child is receiving medical treatment in Spokane. Everyone who stays at our “Home Away From Home” is considered part of a large extended family. And just like any other family we have our stories to share. Some stories have happy endings, others are in progress and some are nearing their final chapter. What we end up with is memories of the time we spend together getting to know one another. These stories make us stronger and help us understand that what we do at the Ronald McDonald House makes a difference in life.

Wow! How do we now focus on a basketball game? By keeping the cause in mind and by continuing to create partnerships like the one between the Ronald McDonald House and Gonzaga University Basketball. The coming together of these two organizations demonstrates a mutual commitment to caring for kids – sick kids and their siblings, and student athletes, if you can call them kids.

Thank you to everyone who is now and has been a part of this wonderful event.
